I promise, I swear!
Currently we are in California...governator state. We're driving to another hotel which will take about 5 hours. = boo!
But there's a lot we need to discuss...really there's a lot I just have to say.
We were in Vegas for a weekend after leaving New Mexico. Vegas is cool and all, but Vegas is only great if you 1)plan on getting in trouble, which leads to the whole "what happens in Vegas..." thing; or 2)have disposable income. I have neither of these prerequisites.
It didn't amaze me to see how much drinking there was in the street. The size of the drinks did amaze me. Five foot women walking with four foot margaritas.
I did walk the strip a bit and my tour manager got a new tattoo. I have pictures of my adventures on facebook, so if we are friends on facebook, check them out. I did make a couple of purchases, a watch and an aqua colored Dodgers cap...plus some sunscreen.
I failed to mention that I got sunburned in New Mexico, Vegas did not help the burn at all. I am finally over all of that though.
Since I've mentioned New Mexico, I must say that the few schools we performed at were awesome. They all gave us something. One group of kindergarteners sang a song that they just learned. Another school gave Michelle a bracelet, Thomas a bottle of High School Musical hand sanitizer, and me a peace necklace.
I rock the necklace every show now. Which leads me to say this: if you have ever been given a piece of plastic jewelry or something made out of macaroni, you should wear it until it falls off. The era of the bling is over, more plastic and macaroni jewelry!
FYI, I'm looking at the Pacific Ocean from the van right now.
Now, I realized that last blog I said that I have some real life stuff to take care of. I'll specify: it's hard being away from your significant other. I try my best to keep it all together, and my girlfriend tries really hard too; it's just something that will continue to be hard. If it were easy, then we wouldn't be as close as we believe ourselves to be. If anyone has any suggestions/experience on this, shout at me.
Another thing is that I need to figure out what I'm going to do once the tour is over with. What about the Fall?
I have some ideas but I can't tell right now.
I'll post another blog later this week. A Video and some pictures will happen soon.
Happy Memorial Day.
Deuces
