what up world! it's been a while since i've hit y'all up with anything. i know somebody is thirsty for something right now; and well, i've been a thirsty for at least giving you something.
so both of our thirsts are/will be quenched.
know that i've been back in new york for a little over two weeks. not a lot has really happened professionally, but some things have and the wheels are turning. i'm getting ready to make a few moves and get myself out there. i feel really positive about the whole thing...like more than ever before. like back in the day when i knew that i was the ish, but didn't feel good about being the ish. now i'm comfortable in my own skin...i can safely amp myself as the ish. i'm badder than ever...believe that!
within my first couple of days, i landed two auditions and got new headshots taken. after that, i got an offer to work a juggling gig. the gig was...fun, definitely not what i expected, but it was fun. i never thought that i would be juggling shirtless while wearing a pair of tights (it's really a long story that i will have to get into later).
it really feels good to be in the city. hanging out with friends i haven't seen in a while did some good for my soul. plus it's good to see so many montevallo people do more than just get by with their jobs. we are all thirsty for theater related things, and some of us are making our own opportunities. dare i say, i'm proud (tear rolls down the eye).
i tried to do the vegetarian thing. i was actually doing pretty good for the most part. then i realized something: i have a problem. i can't turn down free food, no matter what i say that i don't eat. i just can't turn it down. i can't really say that it's a problem, but it's the result of growing up the way i did, and working for free as an intern.
i went back to meat in probably the worst ways imaginable. i was invited to have hot dogs for dinner, i suggested chili should be there as well. a couple of days later (july 4), i had vienna sausages just to see if i could do it. later that night i had something known in some circles as the McGangBang. this sandwich is basically two sandwiches, made by placing a whole mcchicken sandwich (bun and all) in the middle of a double cheeseburger.
think it's nasty don't you? surprisingly, it wasn't. it was quite good, much better than the double down from kfc. i have no idea what the nutritional information may be, but then again i don't want to know.
for more about the mcgangbang....hit the jump.
all in all, new york has been good. i gotta remember to hit you up with more entries.
