Every week on ESPN it seems like there's a story on Tiger Woods. Mainly because there's a golf tournament going on, whether he plays in it or not, the question remains to be "when if ever will he win again?"
Maybe Tiger wasn't cut out to be the greatest golfer ever. Maybe Tiger was the one to revitalize golf and the golf fan. I'm not the one to really claim that.
But what should Tiger do about his lackluster playing? Should he go back to his old swing coach Butch Harmon? Should he handle all of his issues off the course first, then come back to golf with a clear, focused mind?
No. No to all of those questions. This is what Tiger should do and maybe it's because I know too many people that enjoy doing this, but Tiger should get a makeover.
Tiger should play up the villain role (I noticed that he's growing a goatee). He should be as bad as he wants to be. Change his wardrobe, stop wearing red on Sundays. Sometimes the best thing you can do is revel in your bad boy image. Kobe did it a bit--just enough, mind you--to get some of his endorsements back. He got some ink, developed a personality. He actually became more human.
Tiger, we know how sorry you are/were. But now, we don't know who the real Tiger is.
Tiger Woods should show us that he's human...and not just on the golf course, because frankly we don't care about the human on the golf course, we want the perfect machine on the course and the human in public.
