1) new yorkers walk a whole lot
2) because of that, comfortable shoes are important; therefore, there is no such thing as spending too much on a comfortable pair of shoes you can walk in
with that said, i'm going all in on this:
nothing has made me lose faith in people/fashion than the rise of flat shoes. aesthetically, they aren't pleasing to my eye. they look like granny slippers, so that's what i'm going to call them. in case you've been living under a rock, this type of shoe is what i'm talking about...

generally speaking i just can't stand the shoe. it does nothing for me and ladies, it does nothing for you. for curiosity sake, how comfortable are these shoes? because if they are as comfortable as you make them look, you should have saved your money and gone barefoot. the shoe itself is ugly...hideous, and i don't care how much you bedazzle them and gloss them...

...they only get uglier and uglier. not only are these shoes ugly in my opinion, but they do nothing for you. as a straight male, there's nothing hotter than a woman in heels, simply because of what the heel can do for you in shaping the legs and just getting everything right and tight (for lack of nicer, smarter words).
now, before you start running at my head about this and how chauvinistic i may be, let me continue to keep things "one hundred". (ladies) i love it when you're comfortable, you look nicer, but there are different roads to take on the path of comfort.
it all boils down to knowing what looks good on you. i've seen a few females look hot in a pair of sneakers for instance, the right sneaker looks good on you and is comfortable because there is actual support and cushion. what type of support is there in the granny slipper?

i don't see any whatsoever. seriously, tell me if you can spot it. what if you step on a pebble?...looks like you're going to feel that. besides, granny slippers are meant for grannies so if you want to practice your granny walk, keep those jokers on.
if we gotta do pushups, situps, and try to keep chivalry alive for you, the least you can do is take off those flat shoes.
now that wasn't very chivalrous, was it?
